The Young Catholic Adults (YCA), formerly known as the Young Adults Catholic Association (YACA), is a pastoral group for youth aged 27-35, including those under 27 who are married or have children. Unlike other youth groups, YCA is more independent, as members are considered adults capable of self-management, but they still receive guidance from the youth chaplain at the Archdiocese, deanery, and parish levels.
Activities include parish programs, seminars, workshops, retreats, exchange programs, and charitable works.
Objectives:
To understand and apply the Church’s social teachings.
To deepen participation in the sacramental and prayer life of the Church.
To advocate and practice Gospel principles through community service and Mass sensitization.
To use one’s talents for the Church and society.
To engage in both corporal and spiritual works of mercy.
Membership is open to those aged 27-35, or younger individuals who are married or have children. Most members join through invitation or self-motivation.
