SMALL CHRISTIAN COMMUNITIES (SCCS)

Small Christian Communities (SCCs) are crucial in fostering spiritual growth, fellowship, and mutual support within a parish. Comprising around 28 Jumuias, SCCs meet weekly in members’ homes for Bible study, prayer, and Gospel discussions, creating a personal and intimate space for faith-sharing. These gatherings allow members to reflect on how Scripture applies to their lives while offering a platform for emotional support, where they can share their joys, struggles, and life events.

Beyond spiritual enrichment, SCCs provide moral and spiritual support, helping members navigate life’s challenges through empathetic listening, guidance, and prayer. This strengthens relationships and highlights the importance of living faith in community. Additionally, SCCs keep the parish informed about events, promoting unity within the larger Church.

The diversity within SCCs, with members from various backgrounds, enriches the experience by offering different perspectives while all are united in their shared love for Christ. SCCs play an essential role in deepening faith, fostering supportive relationships, and building a united parish community.

The Jumuias, each named after a saint, represent various aspects of faith, service, and community. Notable Jumuias include St. Joseph the Guardian, St. Paul, St. John the Evangelist, St. Vincent de Paul, St. Francis of Assisi, and St. John Paul II, among others. These communities continue to strengthen the parish by promoting spiritual growth, unity, and support.
